The computers has two basic components: hardware and software.
Hardware components are all the computer parts that you can physically see or touch and that includes computer’s monitor, keyboard, mouse, case,speaker and the printer.
Software components it is a computer program that tells computer hardware how to operate, such as application, websites, programs and video games.
Now that you know the basic parts or components of the computer let us now proceed to the question on “how computer works?”.
A computer has three categories which is the input, process/storage and the output.
The input devices is a device that talks to the computer , it is the one who tells computer what to do an example of that is the mouse and the keyboard.
While the process/storage is where the data is being process the place where the data is being processed is called the CPU (Central Processing Unit) of the computer and after the data is processed the information is stored in the storage devices such as Flash Drive.
After data has processed the result will appear in the monitor, speaker, printer which what we called output devices because it can let you view, interpret and use the result.
If you are still confuse about this let me give you a real life scenario on how computer works.
Do you have a television at home?
The remote of your television is the one you will use to change the channel you want to watch or to input what channel you want, the same as the keyboard and mouse of a computer where you can type or input a text or data.
The cable box of your tv is similar to a computer CPU(Central Processing Unit) where it can process information or it does all the processing of information (such as deciphering what channel you want to watch.)
And your Tv displays the channel you want to watch just like the computer monitor displays information.
